Jamila Massey is one of the longest established South Asian actresses working in Britain. She moved from India with her parents in 1948, and began working as a child actor for the BBC. She has worked in many theatre and television productions, including a high-profile part in the controversial ITV series ‘Mind Your Language’. She has also co-written books with her husband, Reginald Massey.
